The 9th annual Tatura Football and Netball Club Equestrian Dressage Classic was held recently with a large number of entries the highlight.
The competition on August 11 to 13 attracted 150 entrants from all over Victoria and NSW who travelled to Tatura Park to compete in 42 different classes.
‘‘Competitors’ ages ranged from about 11 to 60-plus and classes ranged from the basic trot test to the grand prix,’’ event director Sue Terry said.
Mrs Terry said the horses weren’t the only attraction during the three-day event.
‘‘The event went well into the evening with the music program, and the art show was a rip-roaring success,’’ she said.
Mrs Terry said the announcement of the Youth Development Scholarship, which was won by Mikaela McNair, was also a highlight.
